"At King Charles, we believe that all our pupils are born with musicality and have a right to a high quality music education from EYFS through Year 6. We see Music as an important subject in itself, whilst also harnessing its ability to impact learning in other curriculum areas, develop social skills, contribute to our mental health and well being needs, and bring us together as a community. A King Charles musician will gain the confidence to become a performer who has a strong musical foundation built upon the basics of reading notation, group singing and participation in a variety and wider range of purposeful musical activities. They will also harvest an appreciation of music from all genres through listening and appraising activities as well as focus composers, so that we foster a lifelong passion for music in our children."
