Parent Page
At King Charles Primary School we believe that working in partnership with parents is key to the success of our children. We aim to create an environment where parents feel that they belong within our school community and we try to find opportunities for parents and carers to join in with activities in school.
We encourage all parents to attend Parent Consultation Sessions, Meet the Teacher Events and Inspire Days. We appreciate that many of our parents and carers work or have other responsibilities and so we aim to give plenty of advanced notice when events take place.
Making sure that our children attend school regularly is a priority for us. We keep you regularly updated on your child's current attendance and will work with you where necessary to help this to improve.
If you have any further suggestions on how we can further support our partnership, please do let us know.
Home School Agreement
As part of our Home School Agreement we ask parents to:
Ensure their child attends every day the school is open except when a statutory reason applies.
Notify the school as soon as possible when their child has to be unexpectedly absent (e.g. sickness).
Only request leave of absence in exceptional circumstances and do so in advance.
Book any medical appointments around the school day where possible.
Ensure that their child wears the correct school uniform.
Make the school aware of any concerns that might affect the child’s work or behaviour as soon as they become apparent.
Support their child’s homework.
Attend parents’ evenings about their child’s progress and school information evenings.
Support the school’s guidelines for behaviour.
Respect all members of the school community, abiding by their policy of zero tolerance towards rude and aggressive behaviour,
Support the school approach to online safety and not deliberately upload or add any images, video, sounds or text that could upset or offend any member of the school community.
Ensure access to games and devices is restricted (particularly overnight) and ensure our children only have access to age-appropriate game.
