Children in Need November 2024

School Council asked everyone to wear yellow or spots to mark Children in Need 2024. Thank you to everyone who dressed up and helped us to raise money this year!

NSPCC Kindess Challenge October 2024

Starting on the 14th October we will be having a Kindness Challenge Week. Pupils will be identifying ways that they can show kindness to members of our school community.

When a kind act is spotted by an adult, they will award the pupil with 5 track it points!

We will be making a donation to the NSPCC at the end of the week.

Harvest Festival Food Bank Donations October 2024

A huge thank you to pupils, parents and carers for your kind donations to our Harvest Festival on Wednesday,

Earlier in the week we read the book “It’s a no money day” by Kate Milner, which encouraged us to empathise with a family who were struggling to make ends meet and visited a local food bank. The children recognised the importance of food banks in supporting families within our community. You have been so generous with your donations and our local food bank will be grateful for your kindness.. Reverend Gladwish joined our assembly to talk about the meaning of Harvest and share a prayer of thanks.

Harvest Festival Food Bank Donations October 2023

We were thankful for all of the kind donations of food for our Harvest Festival. Our assembly on Monday was led by our Governor Mrs Gladwish, who is a baptist minister. After the assembly pupils from Mrs Millward’s Year 4 class rolled their sleeves up and got to work! They bagged all of the food up and walked down to our local food bank. They were overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our school community. As you can see from the photos, our pupils demonstrated what great local citizens they are!
