STEM 

We were so proud of our Year 6 Executive Committee and our Digital Ambassadors this week as we hosted the launch of the second year of our involvement with The S.T.E.M Project. This provides our pupils with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills and understanding in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths subjects and equip them with the necessary vocational skills to aspire to succeed in careers linked to these areas. Our children demonstrated their computing abilities to a whole host of teachers from other schools who were extremely impressed and gave us some really positive comments.

Our pupils in Year 6 (who have been reading ‘Windrush Child’) had a visit from a STEM specialist. During their workshop, they recreated the famous ship that transported people from The West Indies over to Britain in the 1930’s. Take a look at what they made: a perfect end to such an important unit of work!
